Camels Nest Found 7th November 2010, @ 14:59 (first stage) and 15:29 (cache) My 11th find.I was very pleased to find this one today as I had been looking for it before with no luck. I had spent a good 30 minutes looking for the first stage and this time it took me about 5 minutes to find it. I think the lesson I learned at "Pining on the Wall in the Forest" helped me with this.
The first stage was a small container that gave the coordinates for the cache. This stage was in a nice secluded little park that I did not know existed. (geocaching is certainly a great way to find all the nice and unusual locations).
I decided to walk on to the second coordinates. It was a bit further then I had anticipated.
Well at least the way I went was.
I suspect there is a short cut but I don't mind as I got to see a little more of the area.
The actual cache was not too
difficult to find it was in scrub land behind a row of houses. I sort of crashed around in the scrub looking under rocks and timber until I saw a place that seemed all to obvious. I looked anyway and there it was.The cache had a load of little trinkets in it and I took a little blue plastic seahorse, I added a plastic wristband and a pad of postit notes.
The cache was a bit wet but I filled in the log and have made a post on the Geocaching site to let the owner know. This is the second one of "Camels" hides that I have found and I have enjoyed both of them. My very first find was "Camels Playing Bridge" Thanks Camel I will be looking for more of yours.
