I headed off this afternoon to hide some caches but took the opportunity whilst I was in the general vicinity to locate this one and claim it. The cache is located along a beautiful little creek just off the road between Cairns and Yarrabah.
The creek was running well and the background music it provided was an excellent accompaniment for caching. As you can see from the photos the geodogs were excited to get out and
I even received a kiss from geodog patty as a reward for finding the cache.
The cache was in good condition and I took a bear and left a horse. Signed the log.
We spent a bit of extra time here getting our feet wet in the creek and taking photos. This would be a nice spot to take visitors to our area to see. Unfortunately there is a lot of litter and rubbish laying around the parking area that detracts from the natural beauty.
I would say this spot is a prime location for a "Cache In Trash Out' site. I will investigate how that works and see what can be done.
